Announcing Check Express

Today, we’re excited to announce the early access availability of Check Express, a fully whitelabel payroll product built on top of Check’s API. Check’s mission is to make paying people simple. We do that by building tools that any platform developer — from indie hackers to some of the world’s largest companies — needs to build an elegant payroll product. By integrating payroll into their platforms, our partners simplify business owners’ lives, saving them the time and resources they would invest in traditional payroll services. At the same time, they create a new revenue stream for their platform through a product that reduces customer churn.

So, what does Check do?

The core of the Check platform is our robust API. Our API abstracts away the complexities of running payroll: tax calculation, remittance, and filing, plus the movement of money between companies and employees. This enables companies to easily build fully integrated payroll products to offer to their customers. On top of our API we have Onboard, an out-of-the-box onboarding experience for companies and employees to get their payroll set up in a straightforward and easy-to-use process. Next to that sits Console, a powerful admin tool for our partners to manage their payroll customers. And of course all of these products are augmented by our experienced Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Payroll Operations teams that help our partners confidently navigate the heavily regulated payroll market.

Introducing Check Express

As we’ve grown we have been blown away by the demand for building and offering fully integrated payroll products. But, some companies can’t wait for engineering team cycles to get started offering payroll. And that is how Express was born. Express is a fully whitelabel payroll product that enables companies to get started faster. Our platform partners can now launch a payroll product in just a few days, while having a seamless path to create a custom-built payroll experience as their business matures.
