Introducing Checkmate

Introducing our new AI agent, Checkmate! Checkmate is built on in-house AI foundations and runs directly on the Check API. It has access to more information, can take new actions, and reasons through harder questions for you and your team.

Checkmate is live in both Production and Sandbox. It keeps everything you used in CheckAI and adds new capabilities:

• Access to all of your data. New secure tooling lets Checkmate pull records across your data and run functions against them. Ask "What tax filings are blocked for this company?" and it reviews every filing before it answers.
• More complex questions. Checkmate chains searches across records. Ask why an employee's net pay changed on their last payroll, and it compares their paystubs line by line and walks you through what moved.
• Changes with a prompt. Expanded write access lets Checkmate create and update resources in Check for you, like setting up a new earning code with the right settings and taxability. It confirms every change with you before it's finalized.

Together, these mean Checkmate can resolve more of your questions than ever before.

The full Beta is free for all partners through March to help your teams get through Year End. Starting in Q2, day-to-day support and ops tasks stay free, and upgrade options will be available for heavier usage and extra capabilities.
