Company authorization documents

Following our release of employee tax documents, we're also launching an endpoint for company authorization documents. Documents accessible via the API will now include forms that enable Check to file and pay taxes in federal and state jurisdictions on behalf of companies, such as the federal Form 8655 (Reporting Agent Authorization).

To retrieve a list of company authorization documents, make a GET request to /documents/company_authorization_documents. This endpoint can also be filtered by year and company.

Documents may be downloaded by making a GET request to /documents/company_authorization_documents/<document_id>/download.

The following is an example request to list all documents for the company com_8BDDxUvOZcFVeiuAGne8:

Each result in the list response includes the following information about a document:

• company - the company that this document was filed for
• category - the category of the document
• label - the type of the document
• jurisdiction - jurisdiction to which this document applies
• year - the year this document was filed
• filed_on - the date this document was filed on
